Add Privacy & Protection to Your Boat with Enclosures & Windows

There’s nothing like a beautiful summer day in Minnesota, but pesky mosquitoes and the sun’s powerful UV rays can quickly ruin an otherwise relaxing day on the water. Adding a Bimini Top or other boat canopy will help add some protection, but many boaters opt to take their shelter one step further by adding enclosures and windows.

Enclosing your boat allows you to enjoy more relief from the elements, while also increasing your privacy and visibility on the water. At Canvasworks, we offer many types of custom boat enclosures, including:

Camperbacks

Did you know you could turn your boat into a camper?! Made for large boats, a Camperback is a secondary bow assembly that is installed behind an existing Bimini or Sun Top to extend the protected area of the cockpit – essentially enclosing the entire open area of the boat. A Camperback typically has curtains, windows, and an aft curtain enclosing it to help keep you warm and dry, while zippers allow access in and out. For the canvas portion, we offer a wide variety of durable fabrics to complement any boat design.

Marine Windows

Our custom designed marine windows are made of flexible, clear vinyl and built to endure the most severe conditions. For boaters who want the best, we offer Strataglass – a scratch-resistant vinyl product that is engineered with a proprietary anti-glare additive that enhances clarity, reduces sun glare, and improves low light visibility. Add Strataglass marine windows to the front, sides, and/or rear of your boat for increased protection and comfort. All of our marine window options are available with or without screens.

Windshields

Tired of bugs in your teeth? Get more protection by adding windshields (aka front windows) to your boat! We work with durable, clear vinyl that attaches to your existing windshield to expand the surface and provide more coverage from the elements.

Aft Curtains

An aft curtain attaches to the back of your boat top and extends all the way to the rear to secure to the aft of the boat. They can be composed entirely of fabric (we use Top Notch and Sunbrella for materials), or designed to include as many windows as you desire. Our custom aft curtains require minimal maintenance, come in a variety of color options, and are easy to clean.
